Room 2's Awesome Seat Pockets Idea

In room 2 we have be making seat pockets. They are made to stay on our chair and these are the steps we made them.

We chose a piece of fabric and got a dark blue piece of fabric and got a needle.
We put pins in the fabric to hold it in place.

We got some thread and started sewing(keeping in mind to not sew the top.)
Then Miss sew the blue fabric together with a sewing machine.
We put ribbons on them and put them on our chairs,
and that's how we made our amazing seat pockets.

Room 2's Seat Pockets

In Room 2 we have started learning two types of sewing skills called the running stitch and the back stitch. We made a sample practising our stitching before we sewed our Seat Pockets. The sample we had two rows of stitches running stitch and then back stitch. Then once we finished our samplers we moved onto our seat pockets. Our first step was to choose a piece of fabric to go onto our seat pocket. We used pins to pin the fabric to the seat pocket and then we would sew it on. After that Miss King would sew the edges and then we would stitch the ribbons. Then we would tie it to our chairs and that's how we made our Seat Pockets.
