The classroom move (and some bad news about the ipods...)
Moving Day, by Michaela
On the last day of term 3 we moved up to room 8. We had to move because construction will be happening on our old classroom ..... room 2.
In the morning before the move ,we had a auction with our class economy money. There were lots of items avalible for auction like chocolate , waterguns , whoopee cushions , and mystery prizes. In the mystery prizes there were , a potato , glowsticks , chocolate and an eraser.
After interval we started our move upstairs to room 8.
To make the move easier the last class that was up in room 8 left their desks there so that we didnt have to move our tables up to room 8. The day consisted of moving tables , chairs and totetrays into the hall and onto the stage ,they were very heavy to get onto the stage but we managed to get everything up there. Once everything was in the hall we beagn to move all our other classroom items upstairs into room 8. It was a tiring move because the new classroom soon became a mess from all the learning equipnment out everywhere and trying to clean it up before lunchtime was a hard task, but we managed to do it in the end and our classroom ended up looking great.
Once the classroom was done, we had our shared lunch , there was lots of yummy food brought in by our classmates and Miss King made us some spiders.
After the shared lunch we went outside for lunch break for a while , and when that was over we came back to class to play some games. First we played wink murderer , then we decided to go play some k.o. and basketball outside on the courts , we had to use the small court because room 3 was using the big one.
Once the games were over it was time to go inside and pack up for the end of the day
Our new classsroom looks nice and tidy and we have a good view of all the construction being done by the hall and out by the spec areas. We get alot of sun up here so it is very bright , but its nice and warm.
The view from our new classroom!
MOVING CLASSROOMS AND STOLEN IPODS
At the end of last term we were packing up our classroom. We were moving up to room eight because our classroom was being built. It didn't take too long for us to all take all of our stuff in the classroom upstairs to room eight because there was quite a lot of us. Since room eight was one of the classrooms upstairs that meant we had to walk up the stairs with a few things and then walk down the stairs to get more things and walk back up.
On the first day of Term four Miss King said that our iPods were gone. We were hoping that someone had put them away somewhere and they just weren't found. The next day Brydon in our class found one of the cases on a hill near Kowhai street and then we realized that our iPods could have been stolen. We aren't sure at all who did this but we are hoping that the security camera caught who ever had stolen the iPods.
We have now moved to room eight and liking it so far we are hoping to get our iPods back and we really have enjoyed our stay in room eight so far.
