Our cross country training

We have started training for the cross country. All of Piwakawaka train together. We do the full the full course on Mondays and Wednesdays, then a block run on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Sometimes we have a time that we have to beat otherwise we have to do it again!


I don't like that we have to beat a time sometimes, because the year sevens have to go last most of the time and you have to work hard to catch up. I like running down hills so then you can you can catch up and get past lots of people who are still walking down the hill.


The cross country is in two weeks time. My goal is to beat my current time of sixteen minutes.

  1. My favorite part on the cross country is running with my friends. My current time is 11 minutes 16 seconds. I want to get down to 10 minutes 30 seconds.
