On Tuesday the 26th of June Lucy and I went to my brothers preshool, Countrylife daycare for our volunteer day.
When we first arrived we were nervous. So we helped the kids make some puzzzels. They were fun to make. One of the kids Fletcher showed us is haka. He was very good at it. Knowing all the words. After a while we went into the office and did some work for Kimberely who was the lady in charge of us for the
day. We put together enrolment packs, laminated some signs and put them up, put together the rosters. Then we took some photos of the children.
We then went into the under 2 area and fed and played with the babies. The baby i was giving it's bottle to would not drink the milk. Then we went and changed their nappies and put them to bed. The girl is put to bed was called Liza and Lucy put Rosie to bed. Liza has to sleep with gloves on because she scratches herself. It was mat time after that. The children brought us down to the mat and the teachers introduced us. We sang some songs like Roly Poly, humpty dumpty and many more. It was morning tea time next. They ate sausage rolls, popcorn, apple, crackers, bananas, kiwifruit and marmite sandwiches.
We cleaned their lockers and made an indoor sandpit while they had nap time. Then it was lunch time we all ate our food. We wen down to the mat again and sang more songs like the national anthem, sit down stand up, wave your hands. They also did the Haka. They were amazing at it with Fletcher leading them. We went to wash our hands and eat afternon tea and then it was hometime. The day was very fun and we would definitly go back.
