Shiv and Brydon's post about Helping Hands Day

On Tuesday the 26 of June Piwakawaka syndicate did a thing called helping hands you had to do at least three activities. There is a Long View rest home where you help in redwood, another is bmx track is when you pull out weeds from the ground, and there is refugee where you pick up rubbish and clean windows and talk to some refugee's. My group was the bmx track but it was to wet so they cancelled bmx until term 3. So we stayed at school in room 1 for the morning. In the 1st block we learned more about refugee's like how much are in the world today which is 42 million. Another fact is that there is 481 refugee's in Auckland in 2005. The next block we did a maths game called 24. Then we started P.E and we played dogeball as a unit for inter class tournament. After lunch our class was here and we were talking about a brag and drag (a good thing and a bad thing about our day). and then we did some other stuff like inquires.

Overall the day went good but i can't wait until i do my volunteering work.
